Google Cash Detective vs PPCBully2 review:
Let’s do a real life campaign and search for direct linking campaigns for the popular Clickbank product Fat Loss 4 Idiots (you are not limited to spy on direct linking campaigns for both tools).
Here is the Google Cash Detective search:
GCD found 770 affiliates using direct linking campaigns for fat loss 4 idiots.
Here the results for http://www.PPC-Bully2.com:
PPCBully2 returns 21089 ads which are currently promoting Fat Loss 4 Idiots.
You can see that PPCBully shows all running ads. GCD lists all keywords for each affiliate. In my opinion it’s a little easier to identify profitable campaigns with PPC Bully 2 as you don’t have to dig through all the keywords.
One other advantage of PPCBully 2 is the filter, where you can drill down the search results much easier. In PPC Bully you can just enter the Clickbank affiliate or vendor name or CPA network urls to search for running ad campaigns, while you need to enter urls in GCD (although you can search with wild cards).
One downside of PPCBully 2 is the search history which starts in April 2009. Google Cash Detective’s data goes back to October 2008 which makes the search results more relevant at the moment.
Final Conclusion:
Both are great spy tools and the main difference is the user interface for the search results. I personally find the PPC Bully2 interface a little easier to use and you can find profitable ads quicker than with GCD. If you are a serious Affiliate Marketer I recommend to have at least one of these spy tools in your arsenal. You’ll find profitable campaigns much easier and will save money that you would waste with testing otherwise.

Chris Carpenter – the famous Google Cash author – has started the launch campaign for his new Google Cash Detective product. There are already plenty of other spy tools on the market like Affiliate Elite, Keywordspy, PPC bully, Spyfu, PPC Webspy, Keycompete etc. All claim that you can identify profitable campaigns of your competitors and clone them instantly. But why are most affiliate marketers still struggling with making a decent income if these tools reveal all secrets of successful campaigns?

Chris claims to use a cloud computing technology that should bring full transparency to the PPC marketplace.
All the other Spytools claim the same. I’ve tested most of them and found out that data are often out of date. I’ve spied on my own PPC campaigns to see how accurate the spy results were: On average only a small fraction of my ads/keywords have been shown and sometimes the listed keywords that I’ve never used. Spytools can be a good weapon to find new keyword combinations but the results have to be taken with a grain of salt.
Google Cash Detective seems to work differently. I compared the spy results from Chris’ video with the results of other popular spy tools and I was shocked to see how much more accurate GCD is.
He’s got a step by step process to find profitable campaigns and to see months of actual Google Adword’s history on who’s promoting hot affiliate products and with exactly what keywords.
Another big advantage: the detective lets you find profitable direct linking campaigns. You can start cloning those campaigns within minutes without having your own websites. Some marketers argue that direct linking doesn’t work these days… but they are completely wrong. There are people like Tim Houston who make over $100k per month with just direct linking.

My Final Verdict
This is the most systematic and rational approach to profitable affiliate marketing that I’ve ever seen. Profitable campaigns can be easily identified with a few mouse buttons and with the successful keywords, ads and landing pages you have all ingredients to clone a successful campaign within minutes.
What happens if everybody uses this tool? Not everybody can afford buying the software (there are two payment options $997 upfront plus $97 per month or $1997 upfront incl. 12 months membership) and based there are very few people who really take action (5% max?). And there is not only Clickbank. There are so many different markets and affiliate programs…
Conclusion: this tool will revolutionize the way of affiliate marketing. Serious affiliate marketers using the software will have a huge advantage over all the others. And don’t forget: Affiliate Marketing should be treated as a real business and not as a hobby. Affiliate marketers with the best tools will dominate their niches.
